9 Hole Ladies' League Schedule
9 Hole League Application

Welcome to the 12^th season of the 9-Hole Ladies Golf League.  During May and September

we begin play at 9:00 AM and in June, July and August play begins at 8:30 AM with a shotgun

start. Arrive 30 minutes before Tee Time to establish cart mates and foursomes.  Be sure to sign

up on the bulletin board by noon on the Monday preceding each Tuesday’s play. A short meeting

once a month after golf, May through September.  Exact dates will be printed in the handbook and announced at least one week prior to each meeting.  Please show your support by attending these meetings.

 

The Kick-off Luncheon for both the 9-Hole and the 18-Hole ladies golf leagues will
be on Tuesday, May 8^th  at the Clubhouse at 11:00 AM.  Golf play begins
prior to the luncheon for the 9-holers. Please make your reservations for golf
and/or lunch by May 1^st   with:

Membership dues for 2012 will be $35 and are payable upon receipt of this letter.  Please
remember that you must pay Tianna $25 to be in their handicap system, in addition to the dues.

League History

Tianna Country Club, located in the beautiful woods of Northern Minnesota near the town of Walker, has one of the oldest, prestigious and challenging golf courses in the state.

In connection with Tianna Country Club golf course is the Tianna Ladies’s Golf Association which includes an active, energetic 9 Hole Golf League.

The 9 Hole players split from the 18 Hole League about twelve years ago. Members come out to play golf, have fun, be with friends, enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise. They like the idea of a shorter playing time and they don’t expect to be champion golfers.

The 9 Hole Golf League is scheduled to play on ladies’ day every Tuesday and Thursday. Official league play on Tuesday begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 am. Thursday is a practice day and foursomes tee off around 9:30 am.

Each week is posted a different fun game. Scores are entered into the computer, and the computer figures out a player’s handicap.

Members join with the 18 hole players for the annual spring luncheon in May. All golfers support Tianna Country Club projects.
